The symbol marked U+2700 depicts an open pair of scissors of the classic shape. The tool has identical round hands and safe blades with the curved points. The schematic drawing is carried out using the black line and the filled background.
The icon of black safety scissors is often applied to denote the cutting line on documents and packages. It may be utilized in decoration and editing, for example, in papers, promotion materials, hairdresser's sign, garment of sewing workshops, and stationery markets. In addition, you can often see black safety scissors in various editing programmes, where they mark the 'cut' button.
It's not the only icon of scissors in Unicode. There are others. For instance, [U:2702 emoji with red handles and grey blades].
