Symbol U+274D depicts a perfect circle, not filled in the background. It has a heavy outline from the right side. The icon looks like a cylinder or a growing moon, some kind of a disk, casting a shadow.
A circle is traditionally considered to be the symbol of perfection, fulfillment, completion. Depending on the context, dingbat U+274D can be used in one of the meanings mentioned above, or as a simple decoration for posts.
