The symbol is used to mark items in a list. It may also indicate the direction of the current, wind or movement. The icon will help in the design of small schemes, and it will be useful if you want to focus on a certain part of the text or point to an important detail of the image.
The short arrow pointing to the right differs from the similar mathematical symbol [U:2192] and the superscript icon for the vector [U:20D7]. It has a small "tail" and a triangular pointed tip of a curved shape.
