La escritura Sorang Sompeng se utiliza para escribir en Sora, un idioma de Munda con 300.000 hablantes en la India. El alfabeto fue creado por Mangel Gomango en 1936 y se utiliza en contextos religiosos. Gomango conocía tales lenguajes como [BLOCK:oriya oriya], [BLOCK:telugu telugu] y inglés. Entonces, los sistemas parientes de Sorang Sompeng son [BLOCK:brahmi brahmi] y [BLOCK:basic-latin latín básico].
