Tanabata tree is a kind of wish tree, on which people place their wishes, writing them on small sheets of paper. The tree is also decorated with other things and it takes place on a Japanese festival Tanabata, dedicated to two heavenly lovers. It's depicted as one or two green bamboo stems, on which one or several red paper sheets are hanging.
