What is the hyphen symbol?
The hyphen is not a punctuation mark. It is always part of the word; Therefore, it refers to spelling. The word hyphen comes from the Latin divisio - division. There are several hyphens in Unicode. [https://unicode-table.com/en/002D/ The minus] is different in length and height in the string (at least it should, however, the font decides everything).
[https://unicode-table.com/en/2011/ Non-breaking hyphen] - does not allow anyone to break the line in this place.
